When it comes to setting domains DNS to Godaddy, they happen instantaneously. The reason for this is because as soon as it is directed to Godaddy it is instantly up with a full page of ads from Godaddy. Now when you go and change settings to go to your hosting account on Godaddy it can take hours. It is amazing when it comes to making money for Godaddy things happen instantaneously.

I signed up yesterday with Godaddy hosting. Signed up for the windows unlimited plan for a year, got bombarded with extra options, but did get a discount on a domain renewal. Moving websites from webhost4life the sites we have hosted there just keep getting slower and slower, when we contact support they do something and it is fast again. But when it takes over a minute to load a page people don’t come back.
After the purchase it went pretty smoothly in setting up first site. There are tons of different applications available to install. Installed WordPress, first time user. Have seen a lot of good reviews and seen sites myself that are clean and fast.
Did have to change the DNS to Godaddy. Did not see a temp website directory, could have missed it. That would have been nice to be able to setup the website in a tempary location without the domain being moved. Then change the DNS when ready.
